Frequently Asked Questions
Instructors set prices for their sessions which students should be aware of and agree to in advance. Today, students pay instructors after a session using Venmo or another third-party payment platform. During our current beta period, Sivana does not charge a commission for instructors to use our system, but that will be implemented in the future.
Sivana is a community of learners where members can pursue their interests and share experiences with others. We provide a complete set of tools to find instructors based on the Subjects they offer, schedule time with them, and carry out individual and small group video calls for live learning sessions.
Both instructors and students need to create a Sivana profile. Instructors also have to set themselves as an Expert and then create one or more Subjects describing what they teach. You will need a strong internet connection and a computer, tablet or smartphone to use our video calling features.
As an instructor, be sure to create a Subject that describes the material you will teach. When users search the system, they will find your subject and from there, reach out to connect with you. For each Subject you offer, you can post content that your followers will see on the dashboard when they log in. Regularly post useful content for your Subjects to help keep yourself in the front of their minds.
